Our client is a large firm of construction consultants. They now seek a Senior Project Manager to work for just over a year in Libya. You will lead the safe delivery of all aspects of the full project cycle, ensuring that quality and value for money are met and specifications and agreed targets for cost and time scale are met plus you will management a team. You will need to have a proven track record of Aviation construction projects and have experience of large infrastructure / civils projects. You must have the ability to co-ordinate design and construction teams. You will also need to be fully conversant with Project Management tools and a Construction related degree is essential e.g. Construction Management or Civil Engineering Degree from a recognised university. You should also be experienced in the use of SAP and project and progamme control. You must also be able to manage the HSQE contractor performance, manage contractor performance on site, be directly responsible for the project budget and be able to fulfil the role of Planning Supervisor under the CDM Regulations. Experience in the use of MS Project / Primavera is also required. You must have a UK clean driving licence and good spoken and written English. Although this role is initially for just over a year you will be part of a growing team who are working on some of the most prestigious rail and infrastructure projects. Project Manager for implementing a major printing, assembly and production facility to integrate within a live factory.



In Brief.



A 15 month contract period with employment as a fixed term contractor on a rolling 6 month contract. You will need to have substantial manufacturing site project management expertise in these areas:



·Governance structure



·Project Management tools, risk log and management



·Work packages



·Budget management



You will currently operate in a senior/leadership project management role and within a structured methodology, preferably Prince2.



Desired level of expertise:

 
• PRINCE 2 – Practitioner



 
• APM (Association for Project Management) – Certified



 
• MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) – Practitioner



 
• PMI (Project Management Institute) – PMP (Project Manager Professional) or PgMP (Programme Manager Professional)
