PMI kicked off the Global Congress North America last night with the award ceremony recognising outstanding achievement in project management.  The award winners were:

PMI Component Awards

PMI Component of the Year Award:

  • Chapter Category III:  PMI Central Virginia Chapter
  • Chapter Category IV:  PMI Washington, D.C. Chapter

PMI Component Leadership Award:  Beth Ouellette, PgMP, PMP

PMI Educational Foundation Awards

James R. Snyder International Student Paper of the Year Award:  Jake Stewart, PhD, PMP, MBA for his paper The Project Management Office Impact on Information Technology Project Success

Donald S. Barrie Award: Pin-Chao Liao, PhD, PMP and Stephen R. Thomas, PhD, P.E., for their paper A Summary Measurement of Engineering Productivity and Project Level

PMI Professional Awards

PMI Fellow Award: David Hillson, PhD, PMP, HonFAPM, FIRM, FRSA

PMI Continuing Professional Education Provider of the Year Award:

  • Individual/Business Category: Total Systems Education Ltd.
  • Corporate/Government/Association Category:  SPM Learning, Ltd.

PMI Continuing Professional Education Product of the Year Award:
