Organizations Say Reuse Is Key To Working More Efficiently

Recreating the wheel is time-consuming, frustrating and costly. And yet, many organizations still rebuild every requirement from scratch when starting a new product. Our hypothesis was that requirements reuse is both underused and desirable. To quantify its value, we surveyed 389 product development professionals in October 2012.The results were revealing – unnecessary reuse is rampant and unproductive. Take a look at the responses:
