This global E&P Company has operations through North America and Asia Pacific. With a major new development about to commence in the South China Sea, they need a Project Manager with an exemplary background and extensive experience to join their team.
You’ll provide valuable input to the shallow water portion of the project to ensure it’s completed within budget and minimal risk. You’re project management experience will ensure appropriate technical, scope, cost estimate and management reviews take place on a timely basis.
Working closely with joint venture partners, you’ll identify and select engineering and construction firms that guarantee the high standard of HSEQ is maintained throughout the life of the project.
To succeed in this role you’ll have a degree in engineering with designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or advanced project management degree or equivalent experience. You’ll have a background in gas processing and oil treating with recent experience in offshore shallow water (50-200m) projects a definite asset.
With a minimum of 20 years proven experience in project management and execution, preferably on a global basis, you’ll have a strong commercial acumen and proven negotiating skills.
Your proven track record of strong networking and relationships, both with Chinese government bodies i.e. CNOOC, CNPC, etc. and industry contacts within the engineering and construction communities would be a definite advantage.
Fluent in Mandarin and English, you’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to lead and influence others. You’re highly motivated, innovative and have a positive attitude. This is a significant appointment by our client and comes with a market leading package and benefits.
